Join us for “Theology from the Underside: Palestinian Christian Witness and Liberation” featuring Ms. Cedar Duaybis, a Christian educator, writer, theologian, and founding member of Sabeel - an ecumenical grassroots liberation theology movement among Palestinian Christians.
Drawing from her personal experience of displacement and decades of ecumenical activism, Ms. Duaybis will explore how Palestinian liberation theology helps Christians interpret their faith in the context of occupation, dispossession, and the pursuit of justice.
Fr. Fadi and Ms. Duaybis will discuss Sabeel's core principles, including reclaiming the narrative of Christ as a Palestinian Jew living under Roman occupation and confronting exclusive theologies that justify oppression. Grounded in the conviction that true reconciliation cannot happen without first centering justice, this event will offer a grassroots perspective on what it means to live out the gospel of liberation.
