The Rev. Olivia Hamilton

  • The Rev. Olivia Hamilton is an Episcopal priest and board-certified chaplain serving as the Vicar of Grace Episcopal Church in Cincinnati. Her work resides at the intersection of pastoral theology, post-traumatic growth, and gospel-centered preaching. Olivia is passionate about accompanying those who have been marginalized or harmed by the church, bringing extensive experience working with youth, young adults, LGBTQ+ individuals, and those navigating mental health challenges or spiritual struggles. Her ministry seeks to create spaces where healing can occur and true belonging is fostered. She finds joy in spending time with her wife, their two school-age children, and their pack of misfit rescue dogs. She also appreciates a good pun and a strong cup of coffee.

Project Description:

Inspired by Jesus’ invitation in Matthew 11:28 to "come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden," this project challenges the isolation and spiritual poverty of modern productivity culture. At Grace, we are envisioning a gathering space that offers both solace and strength to world-weary souls—a "third space" where church is no longer an obligation, but a sanctuary of living water. The goal is to transform the parish into a community where striving gives way to grace, burdens are shared, and rest is received as a gift.
